Pisharikkal Sree Mookambika Temple in a nutshell...

Pisharikkal Sree Mookambika Temple as per astrological cast is more than 500 years old. It nestles in Neduva Amsom, an upcountry village, in Parappanangadi Panchayat which is a part of Malappuram District.
Ever since its consecration and dedication by Parappanad Raja, for worship to Hindu public, Devi has been, over the centuries attracting devotees from far and near bestowing on them divine, munificence and grace. The temple edifice, which stood as loyal gate keeps in wisdom of ages. Her blessings are bestowed by Saranagadhi, total surrender and supplication at her lotus feet. Instances are rare where her devotees are ever spared of her divine benedictions in times of need. The godess is Saraswathy at dawn, Lakshmi at noon and Durga at twilight, all contained in one form. The ever increasing number of devotees that flock temple daily and during (Dazara) Navarathri festival more particularly on Vidhyarambam day (day of initiation of children into world of letters) testifies to her growing Chaithanya and importance.
When the setlor could not manage the temple way back in 1970, the then reigning Raja transfered the right over the temple etc. to a committee of local devotees. Later on, the present Trust was formed in its place to maintain and administer temple and its property.
Trust has made rapid strides in the administration of the temple. Trust could make over the temple considerably. But yet more is to be done.......
